Balancing scholarly achievement and family life
While Israel is home to an array of outstanding women scholars, the Ariane de Rothschild Women Doctoral Program recognizes that they face obstacles on the path to success. With a high cultural value placed on family life, many Israeli women already have children by the time they reach the post-graduate level.
This situation often forces bright female scholars to give up their academic careers in order to support their families. The Ariane de Rothschild Women Doctoral Program helps these women be able to pursue their research and also attend to their families’ needs by offering four-year doctoral scholarships covering full tuition and living expenses.
