On 14 September 2012, the twenty students of class 7p at the Bois des Arts school in Thonex near Geneva, along with their three music teachers, reunited for a very special ceremony.
As patrons of the arts, we lend a hand to exceptional men and women as they make their way down the path of knowledge, excellence and sharing. One such path has come to an end too soon. We wish to pay tribute to the life and memory of Montserrat Figueras, a lyrical singer and exceptional musician whose artistry was surpassed only by her humanity.
Combining artistic excellence and social responsibility, the French National School of Fine Arts in Paris created an innovative artist training program for 2010 in primary and middle schools with the support of the Edmond de Rothschild Foundations and in partnership with the town of Saint Ouen and the French Ministry of Education. Chemin faisant – “Along the way” – is an opportunity for this year’s three young artists in residence to discuss their experience with the students.

Milan, 5 April 2011 - on the exhibition opening day that brings together the entries of 18 Italian artists for the 5th Ariane de Rothschild Prize 2011, the international jury has convened to choose the winning artist of the contemporary art prize – an event facilitated by curators Laura Barreca and Marcello Smarrelli sponsored by the Ariane de Rothschild Foundation in collaboration with the Cultural Affairs Office of the City of Milan.
